(1948-    ) US author who began to publish work of genre interest with The Takers (1984) as Sharon A Ahern with her husband Jerry Ahern, opening the Takers trilogy of action-adventure novels in the Indiana Jones mode (see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull), featuring quests for relics, Aliens, Atlantis and UFOs amid much gunfire. All this author's subsequent work is likewise in collaboration with Jerry Ahern, including standalone novels of which The Freeman (1986) was the first; the Hitler Wins tale WerewolveSS (1990); and continuations after her husband's death of The Survivalist sequence of Post-Holocaust Survivalist Fiction (for details of which see his entry) with Bob Anderson as a regular further collaborator.
