(1978- ) Canadian critic and poet, active from around 2000, who is of sf interest for his book-length narrative poem, Forgotten Work: A Novel (2020), set several decades into the Near Future, at a point where interest in the long-defunct rock band Mountain Tea has suddenly awoken (see Music; Poetry). Complex quests for the secret of Mountain Tea's success and mysterious vanishment are undertaken in the Dystopian surveillance society of the 2060s, including a trek into a Zone where secrets dwell. A large number of music figures are almost literally name-checked, as well as (literally) Philip K Dick, and John Shade from Vladimir Nabokov's Pale Fire (1962). [JC]
