(? -? ) UK author of Perpetual Youth: An Occult and Historical Romance (1913), whose protagonist, five hundred years before the early twentieth setting of the main action, gains Immortality after drinking blood; in the intervening centuries, now clairvoyant and able to make himself invisible (see Invisibility), he has become a Secret Master figure whose plans for world Utopia demonstrate his benevolence, though he clearly never intends to abandon his central role.
