(1948- ) UK psychologist and computer systems analyst, currently a professor emeritus at Durham University School of Education, who with Michele Benjamin edited the instructive reprint Anthology PsiFi: Psychological Theories and Science Fictions (anth 1987), featuring stories by Thomas M Disch, Robert A Heinlein, Keith Laumer, Ursula K Le Guin (with brief extracts from two different novels), Frederik Pohl and Bob Shaw (who also contributed an introduction). The stories were selected by Benjamin; each is followed by a considerably longer "Commentary" by Ridgway (with critical input from Benjamin), discussing its implications in terms of Psychology, neurology and related disciplines.
