(1971-    ) German author, in US from early adulthood, who began to publish work of genre interest with "Ink and Blood" in Beneath Ceaseless Skies for July 2011. He is best known for the Frontlines sequence of Military SF tales beginning with Terms of Enlistment (2013 ebook), set in a Near Future Earth and Mars threatened by Alien Invasion; successive volumes tend to introduce improved Spaceships and enhanced Weaponry. The rather more complex Palladium Wars sequence beginning with Aftershocks (2019), is set in a six-planet solar system after a long and debilitating war; the protagonist of the sequence, Aden Robertson, whose world had been on the losing side of the conflict, is released from Prison after several years to find that all is not well, either in his bruised heart or on his home planet Gretia. Almost certainly, Invasion from interstellar space is imminent; the series focuses on Military SF matters, but also on a range of characters attempting to survive. [JC]
