Bohnhoff, Maya Kaathryn

(1954-    ) US author and (with her husband Jeff Bohnhoff) musician, who began to publish work of genre interest with "Hand-Me-Down Town" in Analog for mid-December 1989; several further stories and a serialization followed in that SF Magazine, and tales of Time Travel from Analog were later assembled as All the Colors of Time (coll 2012 ebook). Her short fiction has also appeared in Century, Helix SF, Interzone and Paradox.

Bohnhoff's first book-length work The Meri (1992) is fantasy, opening the Meri trilogy. Novels of direct sf interest are the Star Wars Ties Star Wars: Shadow Games (2011) and Star Wars: Coruscant Nights: The Last Jedi (2013), both in collaboration with Michael Reaves. Taco Del & the Fabled Tree of Destiny (November 1993 Amazing; 2010 ebook) is urban fantasy and Ascension (2019), opening the Archangel sequence, is Steampunk. [DRL]
