(1957- ) US poet and author, much of whose poetry has focused on the political and cultural implications of his Japanese-American heritage; of sf interest is Atomik Aztec (2005), within whose gonzo riffs can be detected an Alternate History novel in which the Aztec nation, having long before defeated the invading Europeans, is engaged, during a different version of World War Two, in the defence of Russia against the invading Nazis. There are many additional plot strands. [JC]
