(1927-2011) US author who began publishing work of genre interest with "The Prince and the Physician" for Medical Opinion & Review in 1969, with her first outright sf publication being "The Face of the Enemy" in Science Fiction Adventures from Way Out (anth 1973) edited by Roger Elwood. She was moderately productive in short forms through the 1970s and fell silent after 1998. Kimberly wrote Young Adult adventure novels under the House Name Dayle Courtney, including The Trail of Bigfoot (1983), and a Gothic novel, Secret of the Abbey (1980) as by Alix Andre. Her sf novel is Flyer (1975), a meditative tale of an Earth occupied by Mutants who fly and swim, and of efforts to bring them together again into one evolved humanity. Dracula Began (1976) is horror and Star Jewel (1979 chap) is fantasy. [JC/DRL]
