(1898-1973) US author whose two sf stories appeared simultaneously: "In Time of Sorrow" in Authentic Science Fiction and "A La Carte" in Spaceway in 1954. His short sf career continued with an sf novel, World without Women (1960) with Day Keene, about the violent consequences to the world of the loss of its women (see Women in SF), with the few remaining women kept under Dystopian constraints, though it is (unusually) the men who are most often published for violating scarcity taboos.
