(? - ) US author who began to publish work of genre interest with "Bearing Witness", serialized in two parts in Strange Horizons for 14 and 21 November 2005. Her novel Archangel (2015), first in the intended series The Chronicles of Ubastis, centres on a human research colony (see Colonization of Other Worlds) of Scientists on the remote planet Ubastis, which because Earth is succumbing to Pollution is being assessed as a new home-world for humanity. Drama arises from a clash between needed study of Ecology and Xenobiology and the underfunded colony's more immediate requirements to survive and become self-sustaining – forcing such unwelcome choices as licensing rich tourists to hunt and kill (see Games and Sports) the Dinosaur-like local fauna.
