(?   -    ) US journalist and author whose Earthborn Trilogy beginning with The Last Exodus (2015), which begins in a Ruined Earth California whose devastated state seems to have been caused not primarily by Climate Change but by an Alien Invasion. The narrative moves from a Survivalist Fiction start to a more complex tale involving the discovery of a wrecked alien Starship, an uneasy alliance with untrustworthy companions, survival of the final destruction of planet Earth, and extravagant Space Opera thrusts into a roiled, war-torn galaxy. In the Near Future Herokiller (2018), which is a singleton, a strife-weary American agent, single-handedly responsible for nobbling China's attempts at world domination, becomes involved in a tournament (see Games and Sports) that, though conducted at least partly in Virtual Reality stadiums, can lead to death. The world gradually exposed is Dystopian. [JC]
