UK tabloid-size Cinema magazine. Published by Sportscene Publishers, Limited. Editor: unknown. Seven issues, 1976 to 1977.
An "oversize" publication which focused on various Television programmes, TV Sci-Fi Monthly carried interviews and articles as well as its main feature, a large fold-out poster each issue. The television series covered were roughly evenly divided between UK and US programmes, with a slight emphasis on the latter. Space: 1999 (1975-1977) and Star Trek (1966-1969) received the most attention. Others featured were The Bionic Woman (1976-1978), Doctor Who (1963-current) and The Six Million Dollar Man (1973-1978). There was also interviews with such notables as Leonard Nimoy. Oddly enough (given the included poster), intact copies do not seem to be especially rare and are modestly priced by dealers. Sportscene Publishers produced several other poster-type publications, often focusing on such US television series Starsky and Hutch (1975-1979). This title should not be confused with Science Fiction Monthly. [GFi/DRL]
