Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame

Career Award for life achievement in Comics, presented annually since 1988 (with 1990 skipped owing to administrative complications); since 1991 the presentations have taken place at the San Diego Comic-Con Convention. Also included below are the 1987 inductees from the final year of the Kirby Awards (named for Jack Kirby) before these were formally split into the Eisner Awards and Harvey Awards. From 1999 onward there have been two categories of Hall of Fame winner: those chosen by a panel of expert judges and those chosen by popular vote. [DRL]
