(1943-    ) US author whose activity in fandom included letters published in Algol, Locus and Science Fiction Review in the late 1970s. Her fiction has mostly been written with collaborators under joint pseudonyms. As Jarrod Comstock she published the These Lawless Worlds sequence of mildly erotic sf in Planetary Romance settings: These Lawless Worlds #1: The Love Machine (1984) with Ellen M Kozak, These Lawless Worlds #2: Scales of Justice (1984) with Ellen M Kozak, and Kingdom Come (1985) solo. As Johanna Hailey she published with Marcia Yvonne Howl (1947-    ) three elf fantasies: Enchanted Paradise (1985), Crystal Paradise (1986) and Beloved Paradise (1987). As H M Major she published with Kathleen Buckley the Alien Trace sf sequence, equally mild in its eroticism: The Alien Trace (1984) and Time Twister (1984). As Jarvis, she edited the nonfiction Inside Outer Space: Science Fiction Professionals Look at Their Craft (anth 1985) and three anthologies in the True Tales of the Unknown sequence [see Checklist below].
